Warehouse Shipper / Receiver

This role will be responsible for receiving products and preparing orders for delivery or pickup in fast paced warehousing environment:

  • Adhere to company policies regarding all aspects of daily duties
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area

Responsibilities

Shipping:

    • Process and pick daily sales orders and cross check orders to ensure accuracy
    • Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs
    • Process daily shipments with utmost accuracy
    • Consolidate shipments where applicable
    • Handle scheduling of daily pickups as required
    • Initiate regular and emergency shipments to all parts of Canada via approved carriers
    • Examine and correct any courier related problems
    • Support any other warehousing activities as required
    • Proess service parts logistics transactions

Receiving:

    • Collaborate with procurement staff to schedule expected deliveries
    • Unload incoming deliveries
    • Properly count and verify all receipts and paperwork upon receipt
    • Escalate all identified errors immediately upon discovery
    • Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
    • Label deliveries and inventory in specified warehouse areas
    • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping and receiving
  • Certified forklift operator
  • Able to lift heavy weights (up to 50lbs.) on a frequent basis
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, overtime and weekends as needed
  • Familiarity with JDE or IQ Reseller is an asset
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of product scanning systems
