Harry Zarek– President and CEO
Founded in 1981 by Harry Zarek, Compugen Inc. is one of Canada's largest IT Solution Providers. Under Harry's stewardship, Compugen has realized growth that has consistently exceeded the industry average. Canadian owned and operated; headquartered in Richmond Hill, Ontario Compugen has 1,000 highly qualified staff in fourteen offices across Canada. The company provides technology infrastructure solutions focused on medium and large sized corporations and governments. Compugen reported revenues of over $400M in 2011.

 

In 2010, Compugen moved to a new headquarter building consisting of state of the art work space including a national call centre, datacentre and ISO-certified configuration centre.

 

Compugen has initiated a significant business transformation to anticipate the changes that are confronting our industry. The company has reorganized into two divisions: a Technology Lifecycle Services Business and a Technology Solutions Business.

 

Within the Lifecycle Business, we are bringing together all our services and products around end user device management with the goal of offering a bundled service on a recurring revenue model attached to a wide variety of devices including smartphones and tablets in addition to traditional desktop, laptops and printers.

 

Our Technology Solutions Business will focus on assisting customers to enable solutions around datacentre and cloud focused on a Business Architecture approach. It brings together the technology platforms for Servers, Storage, Networking together with Virtualization and Microsoft Infrastructure.

 

Harry focuses on sales and marketing activities and developing the long-term business strategy to position the company as a trusted business partner to its customers and vendors.

 

Harry holds an undergraduate degree in Engineering Science and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Toronto. He is an active investor and member of the Board of Directors of a number of early stage technology companies in Canada and the US.

Brian MacIntosh – VP, Sales, Central and Western Canada
Brian MacIntosh joined the Compugen executive team in December 2012 to lead sales and business development for our Central and Western regions.

Brian came to Compugen with significant sales and leadership experience in enterprise and mid-market organizations, and considerable entrepreneurial acumen. From 2003, he was President and CEO of a Calgary-based strategic management firm, and most recently was President of a US-based technology company. In 2006, Brian took an executive position with a major Canadian telecommunications company, where he was responsible for leading sales and marketing for a strategic portfolio of collaboration solutions and managed IT services. He has also taught management at the University of Calgary.

Dean Reid – VP, Information Technology
Dean Reid is the Vice President, Information Technology for Compugen. His extensive experience and understanding of infrastructure, application development and deployment, hardware, software and overall business operations allows him to enable growth of Compugen’s business through a well-designed array of complementary technology.

Dean’s strong commitment to integrating the best technology from our many partners into Compugen’s data centre provides him with invaluable insight into the challenges faced by all IT departments. Leveraging a team of internal and customer-facing architects to design and implement Compugen’s environment drives innovation and advanced learning for both clients and staff.

Since joining Compugen in 1989, Dean has held a variety of roles at all levels in IT, moving into his current role as VP early in 2012. Dean holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Brandon University.

David Austin – Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Austin oversees all aspects of Finance, Budgeting, Accounting, and Information Technology for the organization. Prior to joining Compugen in 1996, he held a variety of senior management positions at a leading North American energy company.

Ken Goessaert VP, Technology Lifecycle Solutions
Mr. Goessaert is responsible for the operational management of the product and services component of Compugen’s business; this includes Procurement, Price Management, Supplier Contracts, and Logistics and Warranty and Non-warranty Services. Compugen’s PC product business and the related Technical Services focus on the lifecycle of distributed technology.  Ken brings an integrated services-led approach to end user computing. Previously, he has held a number of positions within Compugen including VP and General Manager, Operations, Director of Operations, Director of Sales Operations and Sales Manager. He has been with Compugen for over 20 years.

Andrew Stewart – VP, Corporate Services and Marketing
Mr. Stewart provides leadership to Compugen’s marketing team as well as the Human Resources, Facilities and Payroll groups of the company. Andrew plays a major part in managing marketing relationships with technology partners for Compugen and sits on North American and Global advisory boards for Gartner, HP and Microsoft.  He is a member of the Dublin based Innovation Value Institute which brings together participants from industry and academe, including Intel and the University of Ireland, to develop best practice models for IT.

Michael Charter – VP, Software
Mr. Charter has responsibility for overseeing all aspects of Compugen’s Software business including Sales, Licensing and Software Asset Management. He works actively with all the many strategic Software Publishers that Compugen resells or uses within the various Lines of Business. Prior to joining Compugen in 2007, he held successive senior management positions in the software industry and channels in North America and Europe.

Marty Grosh – VP, Professional and Managed Services

Marty leads a national team of consultants and analysts whose goal is to provide a seamless customer experience from solution conception through design to implementation and ongoing support.  Compugen’s Professional and Managed services teams provide advanced solution consulting, project services, and comprehensive portfolio of ongoing managed services.  Marty’s team also focuses on developing new service offerings to support the latest industry trends and service delivery models.


Marty has been with Compugen since 1997.  He resides in Edmonton and has held various positions including managing our Microsoft and Professional Service divisions

Steve Glover – Senior VP, Compugen Finance ( Compugen’s finance and asset disposition company )
Steve has over 30 years of experience in the IT Industry including 20+ years in the asset finance and asset disposition industry. He leads a team of leasing and asset disposition specialists across Canada in support of the Compugen national account and client network. Steve provides a hands-on approach to the business, ensuring that all aspects of the unique Compugen Finance value-add proposition are both communicated and delivered to his customers.
