Toronto, Ont. – October 12, 2010 – Compugen Inc., Canada’s largest privately owned IT solutions and services provider, is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by Microsoft for operational excellence.
Compugen was awarded the Operational Excellence Award at the 2010 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in July 2010. The company was chosen out of the North American field of top Microsoft Partners for delivering market-leading operational excellence supporting Microsoft technology.
This prestigious award is recognition of the process and operational standards that Compugen has achieved. The Operational Excellence Award recognizes a select number of Microsoft partners that meet or exceed all of Microsoft’s published measurements for partner performance.
Winners were chosen from a pool of more than 31 entrants in the US and Canada. Compugen, a gold certified Microsoft partner, was recognized for superior operational excellence, meeting or exceeding specific requirements for the number of valid agreements in a variety of categories, as well as the number of on-time and valid order submissions and revenue reconciliation. These requirements directly affect business value and customer satisfaction.
“By meeting and exceeding the specific Microsoft operational standards, Compugen has brought its own internal and external service level commitments into alignment with this particular set of standards. As a business driven by the goal of excellence in all areas of sales, service and internal operations, Compugen is constantly re-evaluating the measures of excellence—what metrics we gather, and how we report on them.
“In this vein, Compugen has been ISO 9001:2008 certified for many years in certain operational areas, and has recently extended the scope of its quality management certification. While some service level objectives are driven by customer, partner or supplier requirements, our overall culture of excellence is demanded by Compugen management and staff. It is something that all businesses should aspire to, regardless of external pressure, because it allows them to take a leadership role in the ecosystem, gives the team a valid and overarching objective beyond just filling an order, differentiates them from the competition, and leads to innovation,” said Michael Charter, Vice-President, Software, at Compugen.
