Compugen was awarded a Gold award for its Managed Services solution for a resource sector customer and Silver for its Enterprise Service Delivery solution for an entertainment customer at the 2017 Channel Elite Awards ceremony held on September 27 in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
Gold-Winning Managed Services Solution
Following on a significant downsizing a few months ago, a resource-sector customer had acquired another company and added 800 employees. They needed a managed service agreement to handle dramatic changes in service requirements while maintaining service levels. The services included Access Provisioning, Deskside, IMACD. Compugen introduced a consumption-based, fixed-cost model for managed services to this highly volatile sector. The model created efficiency incentives by trying new delivery and consumption models. We maintained service levels, passing along savings to our customer from reduced call volumes.
Silver-Winning Enterprise Solution
An entertainment client acquired properties that by the terms of sale needed to be transitioned into their network within 12 weeks. Compugen proposed a cloud-based solution using Microsoft Office 365 and Azure, a Compugen customized service desk and a Compugen network operating centre and agreed to transition the end-user systems from the old infrastructure to the new as per the timeline. After two weeks of initial planning and approvals, only 10 weeks remained, of which four were spent on detailed project design, licensing and scheduling, leaving only six weeks to implement. The six of nine geographically dispersed locations were transitioned within three weeks at precisely 4:00am and the balance of locations only three weeks later, again at 4:00am. Transition included the all hardware and software, service desk and network operations centre. Compugen’s professional services team (60 members were assigned to this project and 35 were onsite simultaneously during the first go-live operation), project planners, quality assurance specialists, operations experts and software licensing specialists all came together to meet a challenging timeline and deliver with excellence. Upon roll-over to the new infrastructure, Compugen’s customized service desk and network operations centre took over to support the customer’s newly acquired properties.
