Toronto, Ont. – September 18, 2012 – Compugen Inc., Canada’s largest IT solutions and services provider, is pleased to announce major peer recognition at 2012 Channel Elite Awards ceremony held in Woodbridge, Ontario on 11 September 2012.
Winning Gold in the Enterprise Solution category, Compugen’s datacentre rebuild for a multinational at its western Canadian facility involved upgrading the server and power infrastructure with IBM servers and expanding the use of virtualization with VMware software to reduce the total number of servers from 300 to 100 and reduce power consumption by 50% while improving reliability. Working with American Power Conversion, Compugen also improved power supply reliability, datacentre cooling, and facility security.
In response to the award, Harry Zarek, Compugen’s CEO and President, said, “Peer recognition is important to Compugen. Both this and the silver award we received this evening recognize significant achievements for Compugen and its customers.
