Richmond Hill, ON, September 22, 2014. Compugen is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a Bronze Channel Elite Award at the CEA ceremony that took place in Vaughan, Ontario, September 10, 2014. Compugen won Bronze in the Midmarket category for its use of technology to improve performance and manageability of the end-user environment at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU), with campuses in .Surrey, Richmond, Langley and Cloverdale, BC.
The award-winning solution for KPU was based on:
• Citrix XenApp & XenServer, for desktop & application virtualization and remote delivery;
• Microsoft App-V, for application virtualization and streaming;
• Dell Wyse™ thin clients, to replace traditional desktop/laptop PCs; and
• AppSense DesktopNow user-virtualization solution to ensure a seamless end-user experience, application entitlement & consistent performance regardless of application platform.
Speaking to the award, David Wasilka, Compugen’s National Director of End-User Computing, said, “Thanks to the Awards committee for this distinction. We owe this award to many people within Compugen who designed and sold the solution and prepared the nomination. But we are especially indebted to the stellar technical teams at KPU and Compugen who together implemented it in order to make a lasting positive difference to the end users, the support team and IT leadership at the University.”
The engagement was a true partnership, with Compugen collaborating with the KPU IT team to deploy the solution to the first two campuses, and the KPU Team working independently to deploy to the other two.
