Compugen wins gold in the enterprise category for datacentre rebuild and silver in the mid-market category for VDI solution.
Toronto, Ont. – September 18, 2012 – Compugen Inc., Canada’s largest IT solutions and services provider, is pleased to announce major peer recognition at 2012 Channel Elite Awards ceremony held in Woodbridge, Ontario on 11 September 2012.
Winning Silver in the Mid-Market category, Compugen’s desktop virtualization solution permitted a Western-Canadian college to host hundreds of concurrent virtual desktop sessions via wired LAN, campus Wi-Fi and remote connection through the Internet. Using the Cisco UCS integrated computing platform, advanced Cisco wired and wireless switching and routing technology with a new NetApp SAN, Compugen was able to reduce bottlenecks caused by slow SAN performance and to provision a resilient datacentre optimized for hosting the virtual desktop infrastructure into the foreseeable future.
In response to the award, Harry Zarek, Compugen’s CEO and President, said, “Peer recognition is important to Compugen. Both this and the gold award we received this evening recognize significant achievements for Compugen and its customers. We have immensely talented teams of great individuals, backed by stellar technology partners and the whole Compugen organization, and, as the many excellent solutions recognized at last night’s ceremony prove, we work in a creative and innovative IT environment where competition and collaboration lead to better business solutions. Hats off to all the winners and to the Channel Elite Awards organizers and sponsors.”
