Be ready to Save the Data
In the past 12 months, your organization pushed “fast forward” on your remote work strategy, and very likely embraced the cloud and a hybrid cloud / on-prem model to make it happen. Congratulations! The changes you’ve made have created a higher level of resilience and agility. Now it’s time to look behind the curtains and make sure that your data strategy is ready to handle those changes. Will your environment keep pace when the load increases? Are those remote workers… and their remote devices fully protected? And if an issue strikes – are you able to restore your data and get back up and running quickly?
Remote workers – your team is offsite along with their data and their devices. Keeping staff up and running just became a whole lot more complicated. Your backup solution should be user-proof (automated), highly secure, scalable ( to optimize both bandwidth and storage issues) and give you an easy fix when something goes wrong – through remote wipe and quick restore capabilities.
Assume the worst – get the best When that ransomware attack occurs, or that new app goes down and you need to access your data, ensure you have a system that truly has backed up your data and can have you operational quickly. When 76% of IT pros agree that bandwidth constraints are a backup issue and 84% have experienced a malicious attack in the past 12 months…it’s important that your back up is optimized before problems arise.
Office 365 – protect your investment Office 365 provides high availability… but not enterprise-grade data protection. Office 365 has a 3-year data retention policy – and depends on you to retain and store anything after that. With the enormous amount of data flowing through Exchange, OneDrive and SharePoint, a comprehensive strategy that covers all the Microsoft suite is an easy… and good decision.
Backing up your data is important. Securing it is essential. Ensuring that you can access that data quickly is critical.
In our Be Ready to Save the Data kit, we have a tool kit of information around data security, Office 365 and protecting those all-important endpoint devices filled with tips, ideas and data points that will help you round out your plans.
